Infrastructure

Water is Life...

Many villages rely on waterholes….and then boil the water to make it safe to drink. It’s costly in time and firewood and unnecessarily puts carbon in the air. Health costs added on top make bore-holes a smart and cost effective approach to helping an entire community. One bore-hole can supply hundreds of people clean water for years…a donation of $2500 enables NVA to provide a bore-hole to a community that can’t afford it’s own.

In 2019 the village alliance...

found donors to provide funding for 2 shallow “borehole” wells in the Kyamulibwa area. In the first weeks of 2020 construction of 3 more borehole wells was completed providing clean fresh water for hundreds of people in the sub-county. Special thanks go to BayWa.r.e. for donations making these wells possible.

Providing infrastructure, especially water, frees villagers time and energy to address other needs....
